This beautiful silk dress is a classic style inspired by wedding dresses of
the Fifties era. It is made from a fabulous Champagne silk dupion which has a
luxurious sheen and holds its shape very well. Perfect if you are looking for a
swishy dress to dance in.
A delicate floral Ivory lace is overlaid on the bodice and we have added elbow
length lace sleeves for a little coverage. The pattern is a medium size and
depicts a repeat of bluebell style flowers and leaves.
The dress has a snugly fitted bodice with an elegant boat neckline that dips
to a V at the back. The fitted waistband is complemented by a generous full
circle skirt in a knee length and fitted elbow length sleeves in a single layer
of intricate lace.
The silk top of the dress is overlayed with a lace and the sleeves are made
from a single sheer layer of lace. The dress is fully lined and fastens with a
zip at the back.
The skirt is seen here over a Swing style petticoat.

IF YOU HAVE SELECTED 'MADE TO MEASURE' (see sizing variations) YOU WILL NEED
TO ATTACH THE FOLLOWING MEASUREMENTS IN THE 'NOTE TO SELLER' WHEN PLACING THE
ORDER:
************************************************************************************************
Overbust (around your chest above your bust - with the tape measure going
under each armpit and around your back)
Bust (the fullest part of your bust – taken whilst wearing whatever type of
bra you would normally wear under the dress)
Underbust measurement (around the ribcage just under the bust)
Natural waist (it is important that this measurement is taken at the smallest
part of your waist which is normally 1 or 2 inches above your belly button)
Low Waist (around the circumference of your belly approximately 1 inch below
the belly button)
Shoulder seam to underbust (from the top of your shoulder with the tape
measure going over the middle of one breast to the bottom of your bra - this is
to make sure that the top of the waistband sits snugly just underneath your
bust)
Underbust to Natural Waist (this is to determine the width of the waistband on
the dress – the standard width is 11cm/4 inches but the waistband may need to
be a little narrower if you are petite or high waisted or a little wider if you
are taller or have a long torso)
Back length (from the nape of your neck – the knobbly bit – to wherever it was
you took your natural waist measurement)
Arm Scye (This is the measurement that determines the size of the arm holes of
the garment- please take this measurement around your shoulder/arm pit.)
Shoulder width (this should be taken straight across the back of the shoulders
– from the corner of one shoulder to the corner of the other - without curving
the tape measure around the sides of the arms)
Natural waist to the middle of the knee (This will determine the length of the
skirt, so if you would like the skirt shorter or longer, please let us know and
also take the measurement accordingly)
Upper arm circumference (the fullest part of the upper arm)
Above elbow (the circumference of your arm just above the elbow)
